This design features the famous prayer of Darius the Great, carved in cuneiform script on the stone inscriptions at Persepolis, over 2,500 years ago.
In it, Darius asks Ahura Mazda to protect the land of Iran from three calamities: enemy armies, drought, and lies, ensuring the country’s safety and prosperity.
It reads: “May Ahura Mazda protect this land from enemy forces, from drought, and from falsehood.”
